Irene Paz-Mani Espinosa was born in Alicante in 1956. Around 1983 she met her husband and with him she began yoga and meditation training, which represented a radical change in her life. In 1992 she moved to Álava and since then she has lived in both provinces, offering yoga and zen meditation. 

In 1996 she met Prabhasa Dharma zenji and the following year she did a long sesshin with her in Corella and since that meeting she has not stopped practicing in our school. When Prabhasa Dharma died she continued practicing with Tetsue roshi with whom she began a zen teacher training in 2017. In the summer of 2023 she was ordained as a Zen teacher, with the name Paz-Mani (Jewel of Peace).
