Juan Taigen Felisgrau (1949) was born in Spain and moved to Miami in 1973. He worked in manufacturing at different times in the US and the Dominican Republic. In 1990 Jiun Roshi (Dharma Udaka at that time) opened the door of the Dharma House to Juan. He started to practice under the guidance of Prabhasa Dharma Zenji until her death. He continued his practice with Jiun Roshi, visiting NoorderPoort regularly, and practicing with Soan Osho in Miami. He became a nurse in 2007, and is currently working in the field of dialysis.

In 2018 he was ordained as a Zen teacher by Jiun Roshi with the name of Taigen (Great Origin). He leads regular practice at the Snapper Creek Zendo in Miami.
